In Korea, each of the remediation market participants is taking its roles as designated as in the laws and regulations, such that remedial investigation and auditing of a remediation project should be done by the non-profit organization and all of the chemical analysis also has to be done by the non-profitable laboratory designated by the government.
However, it has not been enough to protect the right of remediation cost payers sufficiently due to unbalanced information between the remediation specialists/contractors and clients. In consequence, it has hampered to maximize the efficiency of remediation works for the last decade.
